Passenger Jet Crashes in Indonesia Killing 90
The crash of a passenger jet belonging to Adam Skyconnection Airlines killed 90 of the 102 passengers on board. The plane lost contact with air traffic control on Monday and was discovered by search teams early Tuesday.
The plane went down in a mountainous region near Polewali in the West Sulawesi province. Reports indicated that there were thick clouds and strong winds when the plane lost contact with controllers.
Of the 102 passengers on board, 90 bodies had been found while police in the town indicated that there were 12 survivors.
