Harrison Ford Marks Return of Indiana Jones
George Lucas and Steven Spielberg have revealed that the Indiana Jones franchise will make its return 19-years after its last film.
The fourth film in the Indiana Jones series will begin production in June and is expected to hit theaters in May 2008. While Harrison Ford is set to take on the familiar role of archeologist extraordinaire no other cast members have been announced.
Kate Capshaw, Sean Connery, and River Phoenix have all appeared in the series that began with “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in 1981. ‘Lost Ark” was followed by “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” in 1984 and then “Last Crusade” in 1989.
Worldwide the three films have grossed over $1 billion.
