Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. became parents for the second time last week. A rep for Gellar confirms the Ringer star gave birth to a healthy baby boy in Los Angeles. The baby joins older sister Charlotte, 3.
"Sarah Michelle and Freddie Prinze, Jr. are thrilled to announce that they welcomed a baby son into the world this past week," the rep tells Us Weekly magazine. "Mother and baby are doing great. And Charlotte is VERY excited to be a big sister.”
No other details, including the baby’s name, were released. Gellar’s pregnancy was first reported in April.
Gellar, 35, and Prinze Jr., 36, tied the knot in 2002 after two years of dating. They first met in 1997 on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer. Gellar most recently starred on the first season of The CW drama Ringer. She is perhaps best known for starring in the WB series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Prinze Jr. most recently guest starred on Psych and Monday Night Raw.
