Brett Favre is expected to play the entire first half of the Minnesota Vikings Monday night game against the Houston Texans despite suffering from what he believes may be a cracked rib.
Favre has said when he takes a deep breath it causes some discomfort but has made it clear he has every intention of playing. The three-time NFL MVP recently came out of retirement and played a limited number of snaps in the Vikings last game, completing just one pass for four yards.
Favre, 39, is expected to be the Vikings starter when the season starts.
