Days after announcing they are going on an indefinite hiatus to focus on separate projects, LMFAO rockers Redfoo and SkyBlu deny rumors they are breaking up for good. SkyBlu, Redfoo’s nephew, tells MTV News their earlier announcement simply got “blown out of proportion.”
"Well, you know, first of all, we're not breaking up. I know that for sure. We're family and stuff, so it's always love. It's interesting because somebody will say one thing [and] it's just like high school, then all of a sudden [it's] 'They're breaking up. They're fighting.' It kind of gets blown out of proportion, so we're definitely not breaking up,” he explained.
SkyBlu, 26, also denied the rumors in a statement to Us Weekly magazine. "LMFAO has not broken up. My uncle and partner, Redfoo, and I have decided to take some time between albums to explore our own interests in music and other areas in entertainment," he said. "Redfoo and I are Party Rockers for life. We love and respect one another and support each other in everything we do."
Redfoo, 37, and SkyBlu formed LMFAO in 2006. Their hits include “I’m Sexy and I Know It” and “Party Rock Anthem.”
