Saks Houston Hosts Record Attendance for 2013 Winter Ball Women of Distinction Announcement Event

As part of Saks Fifth Avenue’s ongoing sponsorship and support of the CCFA, the premiere shopping store hosted a cocktail event to formally announce the honorees for The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America Winter Ball 2013 on Tuesday October 2nd. The event included award winning ABC 13 journalist Melanie Lawson, a presentation of each of the honorees and Ambassador, and a surprise performance by Houston Grande Opera to over 180 guests.

The Women of Distinction and Ambassador for The Crohn’s & Colitis of America's Winter Ball 2013 are honored for making a difference in the Houston community through their charity work and tireless volunteer hours. The January 2013 annual fete will be the 26th year for The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America's Winter Ball, which has honored more than 250 of Houston’s most talented and dedicated women, which is a primary fundraiser for the foundation. The2013 Women of Distinction are Jana Arnoldy, Darlene Bisso, Donna Bruni, Arvia Few, Debby Leighton, Nidhika Mehta, Alice Mosing, Liz Rigney, Elizabeth Stein, and Pamela Wright. The 2013 Ambassador is Sidney Faust and the Legendary Woman of Distinction is Margaret Williams. The 2013 Chairs for the Winter Ball are Mary Ann McKeithan and Danielle Ellis, with Honorary Chair Kelli Cohen Fein . CCFA-sponsored research, such as "Challenges in IBD Research," a series of top-priority initiatives, the DNA and Cell Line Bank, and the Clinical Alliance, is forging new collaborations and providing vital resources for investigators nationwide.
