After confirming he split from Karrueche Tran because of his relationship with ex-girlfriend Rihanna, Chris Brown released a video in which he talks about loving both women.
"I'm a little drunk so I'm going to be real honest. Y'all don't really get the real Chris Brown, so I like to just be honest, man. I'm stressed out. That's just real sh-t, man,” he says in the clip.
"When you share history with somebody, then you tend to fall in love with somebody else, it's kinda difficult. Is there such a thing as loving two people? I don't know. I don't know if that's possible, but for me, I feel like that,” Brown explains. “Y'all are probably like, 'What the f-ck is he talking about right now?' But I'm just saying, I'm being real. I don't want to hurt either or. I'm not trying to be a player. I'm not trying to be a dog. None of that. My mama raised me differently. I just can't. It's too much sometimes."
Brown, 23, announced his split from Tran, an aspiring model, on Thursday. “I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna. I'd rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives,” the rapper told Us Weekly magazine.
Brown’s statement came after he was spotted getting cozy with Rihanna in NYC. On Monday, the pair was spotted kissing at Griffin nightclub. They partied at 1Oak the following night, and on Wednesday they attended Jay-Z’s concert at the Barclay’s Center.
Rihanna, 24, has not commented. She ended their 2 year relationship in 2009 after Brown was arrested for beating her during a heated argument. Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault and was sentenced to 5 years of probation, 6 months of community service and 1 year of domestic violence counseling.
Tran, 23, expressed her thoughts about Brown on Twitter. "WTF is going on?" she wrote. "All I'm saying is, you don't mess with people's genuine feelings. You just don't!"
