Cobra Oil & Gas Company (OTCBB: CGCA) $1.05. Announced Monday that an updated research report has been issued on Cobra Oil & Gas Co. by Cohen Independent Research Group, Wall Street’s leading independent research firm, building off of July 21, 2009’s initial report. The latest report includes Cobra’s expansion of its Utah Oil Sands prospect and the addition of additional acreage, equating to a long-term price target of $4.42.

 

In July 2009, CGCA finalized an agreement to purchase a 40% working interest in the Utah Oil Sands Project in Uintah County, Utah from Enercor, Inc. These leases comprise 33,632 acres in entirety, 23 federal leases and approximately 15% of the entire P.R. Spring oil sand deposit. It is estimated the P.R. Spring deposit contains 4.0 to 4.5 billion barrels of oil on Cobra's leases, according to the US Bureau of Mines.

 

What They Do: Cobra Oil & Gas is an independent oil and gas exploration and development company. The Company’s focus is to identify short and long term oil and gas opportunities with twin goals of reducing the country’s dependence on foreign oil and increasing shareholder value. 

 

Tower Semiconductor (Nasdaq: TSEM) $1.57. Today announced it expects third quarter revenue to exceed the company's previous guidance given on August 12, 2009 due to increased customer demand. The company now expects third quarter revenue to be between $77 million and $80 million, which is higher than the previous guidance with a mid-range representing a 30% increase from previous quarter revenues of $60.6 million and a 34% increase year over year, representing company record revenue.

 

Russell Ellwanger, chief executive officer of Tower Semiconductor, said: "We are experiencing increased customer demand in most all product segments and increased utilization rates in all three of our fabs (fab1, fab2, Newport Beach). The new mid-range guidance of $78.5 million would be the highest revenue in the company's history, coupled with greatly improved Ebitda performance. The fourth quarter promises continued strong quarter over quarter and year over year growth."

 

What They Do: Tower Semiconductor is a global specialty foundry leader and its fully owned subsidiary Jazz Semiconductor, a Tower Group Company is a leader in Analog-Intensive Mixed-Signal (AIMS) foundry solutions.

 

The Medicines Company (Nasdaq: MDCO) $7.97. Today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) issued a new U.S. patent No. 7,582,727 ('727 patent). The '727 patent relates to a more consistent and improved Angiomax drug product. The new patent has been submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for listing in the FDA's publication "Approved Drug Products with Therapeutic Equivalence Evaluations," which is commonly known as the Orange Book, for Angiomax.

 

Angiomax is already protected under U.S. patent No. 5,196,404 ('404 patent), which covers the composition of matter of bivalirudin. The '404 patent expires on March 23, 2010. Additionally, Angiomax has been awarded pediatric exclusivity, which expires on September 23, 2010.

ICF International (Nasdaq: ICFI) $27.67. Today announced it was recently selected as a prime contractor for a three-year, multiple-award contract, with a ceiling of approximately $60 million, by the Army Research Institute (ARI). Through this new, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) agreement, ICF will conduct research and analyses, attitude and opinion surveys, and studies associated with manpower, personnel, organizational, and leader development in support of the U.S. Army Research Institute.

 

ICF will provide ARI with a team of nationally recognized military researchers experienced in managing and providing solutions to complex manpower, personnel, leader development, and training challenges. The ICF team includes Army veterans who understand the practical application of research and are familiar with the protocols of conducting research within the Army. Other team members include small business partners with specialized capabilities.

 

What They Do: ICF International partners with government and commercial clients to deliver professional services and technology solutions in the energy and climate change; environment and infrastructure; health, human services, and social programs; and homeland security and defense markets
