AeroCentury Corp., an independent aircraft equipment leasing company, recently announced its preliminary, unaudited operating results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2009.
For the second quarter ended June 30, 2009, the Company filed a total revenues of $8.2 million compared with total revenues of $7.7 million for the same period a year ago. For the six months ended June 30, 2009, the Company filed total revenues of $16.3 million compared with revenues of $15.5 million for the same period in 2008.
The Company reported net income of $1,368,000 or $0.89 per diluted share for the second quarter of 2009, compared to net income of $1,586,000 or $0.99 per diluted share for the second quarter of 2008 and net income of $2,606,000 or $1.69 per diluted share for the first six months of 2009, compared to net income of $1,881,000 or $1.17 per diluted share for the first six months of 2008.
AeroCentury Corp. and its subsidiaries invest in used regional aircraft equipment leased to foreign and domestic regional air carriers. The company leases regional aircraft and engines, which are used by customers under triple net operating leases in Europe, the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, Central America, Asia, the United States, Africa, and South America.
