Despite denying engagement rumors, it looks like Bobbi Kristina Brown is set to wed her “adopted” brother Nick Gordon. In a new clip from the upcoming A&E reality show The Houstons: On Our Own, the 19-year-old tells family members about her engagement.
The young couple was romantically linked shortly after the sudden death of Bobbi Kristina’s mother, singing legend Whitney Houston, in February. Gordon was unofficially adopted by Houston 10 years ago. He and Bobbi Kristina were raised as brother and sister, but sources say their relationship “evolved” into something else in recent years. After they were spotted out in Atlanta kissing and holding hands earlier this year, insiders confirmed they were “living like a couple.”
The Houstons: On Our Own will follow the Houston family as they cope with Houston’s death. In addition to Bobbi Kristina, the show will star Houston’s mother Cissy, brother Gary and sister-in-law Patricia. The series premiere is set to air Wednesday, Oct. 24.
Houston was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 11. An autopsy revealed she had cocaine, marijuana, Xanax and Benadryl in her system at the time of her death. The cause of death was accidental drowning with cocaine and heart disease as contributing factors. Houston was 48.
