Bindi Irwin, the eight-year-old daughter of “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, will be carrying the message of wildlife conservation and education when she begins her tour of the U.S. on Tuesday.
The pig-tailed animal lover will appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday. She is scheduled to make appearances in Los Angeles as well as speak to the National Press Club in Washington.
As part of her media tour of America Bindi Irwin will be promoting her show, the Jungle Girl, which airs on Discovery kids.
Bindi was thrust into the media spotlight after her father was killed four months ago. A stingray pierced the chest of Steve Irwin while he was snorkeling off the Queensland coast in September. Delivering a stirring eulogy at her father’s memorial at Australia Zoo, Bindi became the face of courage and strength in a time of great mourning.
