NBA Scores from Jan. 8; Tracy McGrady, Sam Cassell, and Marcus Camby lead their teams to wins.
Sam Cassell came off the bench to score 31 points and dish out 5 assists and Elton Brand added 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Los Angeles Clippers (16-19) overcame a slow start and beat the NO/Oklahoma City Hornets (12-22) 100-90. Desmond Mason led the Hornets with 28 points while Tyson Chandler pulled down 13 rebounds in the loss.
The Houston Rockets (22-13) got 31 points from the red hot Tracy McGrady and Dikembe Mutombo continued his dominance on the boards with 16 rebounds as they pushed past the Chicago Bulls (20-15) 84-77. Luol Deng led the Bulls with 20 points and Andres Nocioni had 11 rebounds.
Marcus Camby had 19 points and 15 rebounds while Early Boykins added 26 points and 11 assists as the Denver Nuggets (17-15) snapped their five game skid with a 104-92 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks (16-18). Allen Iverson finished with 23 points and Reggie Evans had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Nuggets. Ruben Patterson led the Bucks with 29 points and 12 rebounds.
