Ricky
Williams has signed a one-year extension with the Miami Dolphins and will now
stay in South Florida through the 2010 NFL season.
While
Williams committed to the new deal he has hinted that he would retire when the contract
ends.
Williams,
the 1998 Heisman Trophy winner and 2002 NFL rushing leader, rushed for 659
yards and four touchdowns last year, averaging 4.1 yards per carry while
splitting time with Ronnie Brown in the backfield. The 32-year-old also had 219
yards receiving and a touchdown during the season.
