Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams has signed a one-year contract extension. Williams is set to make a base salary of $3.4 million and $4.35 million in 2010. Williams and the Dolphins mutually agreed to this contract without the help of his agent.
Ricky Williams is the NFL’s leading rusher in 2002, and the 1998 recipient of the Heisman Trophy. Five years ago Williams made headlines when he abruptly retired. After a few years he returned to the Miami Dolphins in 2005, but missed the whole season due to a drug test failure. Williams was reinstated for the NFL 2007 season. It seems as though Miami is home for running back Ricky Williams. We wish the Dolphins luck with their upcoming season.
