Jennifer Aniston may be reluctant when it comes to talking about her relationship with fiancé Justin Theroux, but her tears said it all on Monday’s Chelsea Lately. Aniston immediately got emotional when host Chelsea Handler asked about her recent engagement.
"I just got verklempt," the actress said as she tried to hold back tears.
“Aren’t you so happy? You are so happy because he's the greatest guy ever and you guys make the greatest couple ever and I am so happy for you two,” Handler said.
Aniston, 43, even encouraged Handler to get engaged. "That would be a good thing to do. Make an honest woman out of you!” she joked.
Theroux, 41, popped the question in early August. "Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage," the actor’s rep told People magazine at the time.
The couple began dating in May 2011 after meeting on the set of ‘Wanderlust.’ This will be the first marriage for Theroux and the second for Aniston. Aniston was married to Brad Pitt for five years before calling it quits in 2005 amid rumors Pitt was having an affair with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie. Pitt and Jolie confirmed their relationship in 2006. They are currently engaged and have six children together.
Aniston can be seen next in We’re The Millers while Theroux is set to write and direct Zoolander 2.
