Paris Hilton Pleads Not Guilty to Drunken Driving Charges

Paris Hilton didn’t show up to court on Tuesday, rather she had her lawyer enter her not guilty pleas on her behalf. Hilton, who has been seen sporting around LA in her new silver 2007 Bentley Continental GTC Convertible, was pulled over on September 7 in her Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR by a motorcycle officer who noticed she was driving erratically.

25-year-old The Simple Life star and club fixture failed a field sobriety test and was arrested. She was administered a blood-alcohol test and in which her level came back .08. Hilton said it was a result of filming a music video all day without eating and then having a single margarita at a charity event later that night.

While the blonde heiress could get sentenced to six months in jail and fined $1,000 it is more likely that she will be subjected to a fine, probation, and a possible rehab stint.

Hilton is likely to get off a lot easier than on/off friend Nicole Richie. The other half of The Simple Life had her own driving problems recently. Her SUV was spotted heading the wrong direction on a California freeway in late October. She was arrested for a DUI after failing her own sobriety test.
