Rapper Flava Flav is facing charges of battery and assault with a deadly weapon due to an altercation with his fiancé and her teenage son. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirms the 53-year-old, whose real name is William Drayton Jr., was arrested at a south side residence around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday after Elizabeth Trujillo called police.
Trujillo, 39, accused Drayton of grabbing her “by the shoulders, stomach and arms” and then throwing her to the ground twice during an argument over him cheating on her. When Trujillo’s 17-year-old son Gibran attempted to stop the abuse, Drayton wrestled the teen in the living room and chased him around the house with two kitchen knives. Gibran then locked himself in a bedroom with his sister Kayla, but Drayton allegedly kicked the door down and threatened to kill Gibran.
Drayton reportedly confessed to everything but threatening to kill Gibran. He is being held on $23,000 bond and will make his first appearance in court today.
