Exide Technologies, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the manufacture and supply of lead acid batteries for transportation and industrial applications in the Americas, Europe, and internationally. The company operates in two segments, Transportation and Industrial Energy. Its motive power batteries are used in the material handling industry for electric forklift trucks, as well as in other industries, including floor cleaning machinery, powered wheelchairs, railroad locomotives, mining, and the electric road vehicles market.
