Six months after withdrawing a divorce petition, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid is once again seeking to end her marriage to actor Dennis Quaid. The real estate agent filed for legal separation on Friday. The split was then confirmed in a statement released through a rep.
"Kimberly and Dennis Quaid have decided to legally separate after eight years of marriage. They ask that their privacy and the privacy of their family be respected during this difficult time,” the rep said.
Buffington-Quaid is reportedly requesting spousal support. She wants to share legal custody of 4-year-old twins Thomas and Zoe with Quaid, but she is seeking sole physical custody of the children. Buffington-Quaid originally filed for divorce in March, but she withdrew the petition in May.
This was Quaid’s third marriage. He was previously married to P.J. Soles and Meg Ryan.
