Barbara Walters has apparently had enough of Donald Trump and his assault on her co-host Rosie O’Donnell saying, “You know, he just can't - he just can't let go, but we're moving on.”
Trump has been involved in a highly publicized verbal spat with Rosie O’Donnell ever since she criticized him for his decision to allow Miss USA Tara Conner retain her crown. Conner had been spotted drinking in several New York bars while underage and carrying herself in a manner not quite up to the standards outlined by the pageant, a pageant owned by Trump.
Trump made the rounds on the television talk show circuit and fired back at O’Donnell, calling her “disgraceful, a horrible human being, a terrible person” on the Larry King Show, and then told Anderson Cooper “Rosie is an unattractive person. She's a slob. And you know, how she gets this girlfriend I don't know. But I look forward to the day that Kelli leaves her because Kelli, if you're listening, Kelli, and I'm sure you are, you can do much better.”
The star of “The Apprentice” went on to say that Barbara Walters had told him that working with O’Donnell on ABC’s “The View” was like “living in hell.” He went on to say that Walter’s was desperate to get O’Donnell out.
Walters countered Trumps statements last week saying “nothing could be further from the truth,” and Rosie had brought a spark to the television ratings for “The View.”
According to a letter Trump sent O’Donnell, Walters had lied to both of them. Trump’s letter indicated that Walter’s had called Trump while she was on vacation and tried to quell the dispute, saying “Donald, never get in the mud with pigs.”
Walters has denied she ever said the things that Trump has claimed. That led to Walters short quip on her show “poor, pathetic man.”
