Once the announcement was made that one unsigned artist would have the opportunity to sing with Justin Timberlake at this year’s Grammy Awards the video auditions came pouring in.
Dubbed “My Grammy Moment,” contestants had to be an unsigned artist falling within the age range of 18 to 30. Now the contest is down to the final twelve individuals who are vying for a spot on stage with the “SexyBack” singer.
On January 17 the ten women and two men that make up the twelve will be whittled down to five and the top three contestants will be announced during Super Bowl weekend. The top three will then get the opportunity to rehearse with the former NSYNC singer in Los Angeles.
The winning contestant will be announced at the 49th Grammy Awards on Feb. 11. Fans can send online and text votes for their choice and the contestant with the most votes will join Timberlake on stage for their Grammy duet.
The twelve contestants are from Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and Texas.
