BHM Healthcare Solutions (BHM), a Healthcare Consulting Company, is pleased to be participating in this year’s Fall Managed Care Forum 2012. For more information, including registration information please visit: www.namcp.org .

The Fall Forum is sponsored by the American Association of Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems (AAIHDS), the American Association of Managed Care Nurses (AAMCN) and the National Association of Managed Care Physicians (NAMCP). It brings together clinical practitioners, healthcare management firms, as well as Healthcare Management Consultants and is designed to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information on today’s issues concerning the delivery of care and advances in clinical treatments in all disease states. Additionally, the Forum will address marketplace best practices on the business side of healthcare delivery as well as lessons learned regarding these methods to improve patient outcomes.

As part of the conference, Executive Consultant Dr. Ken Hopper, an associate of BHM will be presenting a program entitled “Updated Strategies and Outcomes in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Major Depression Disorder. “ Treatment for Major Depression Disorder, which is generally a combination of therapy and medication, is the key to overcoming depression. To improve patient outcomes, practitioners must identify and correctly diagnose the affective disorder. Following the diagnosis, appropriate pharmacologic, psychotherapeutic or other treatment options should be explored while maintaining constant and open communication with the patient regarding the details of the recovery process and relapse prevention.

In addition to this, BHM President, Mark Rosenberg, MD, PhD will be presenting a talk entitled “Managing Chronic Pain: Appropriate Treatment Strategies to Improve Patient Outcomes.” This presentation will focus on developing an understanding of the prevalence and consequences of under treatment of chronic pain and improving treatment outcomes. Additional time will be spent educating the audience about the benefits and limitations of existing and new analgesic options in the management of chronic pain.
