A 24-year-old man fired nine shots at four co-workers on Thursday morning at an Indianapolis, Indiana manufacturing business. The two men and two women who were shot were taken to hospitals with what police have called non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police, Jason Burnam targeted the four workers he shot saying “it was over respect.”
Crossroads Industrial Services, the site of the shooting, employees approximately 100 employees many of which have physical or developmental disabilities. The business is a division of Easter Seals, an organization that serves individuals living with disabilities.
Police have not said whether or not Burnam had a disability.
