The Texas Longhorns will take on Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday at 7pm, marking the 10th straight year UT will open with a non-BCS opponent.
The Longhorns return quarterback Colt McCoy, who set an NCAA record for single-season passing completion percentage last season with 76.7 percent. McCoy also finished with 34 touchdowns, eight interceptions and 3,859 yards passing. In addition, he leads Texas with 561 rushing yards.
Texas will once again battle archrival Oklahoma Sooners for the Big 12 South for the division title as McCoy and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford go head-to-head all season.
On defense, UT is led by defensive end Sergio Kindle and safety Earl Thomas, who were both listed as preseason first-team All-Big 12.
