Reigning Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford will lead his #3 Oklahoma Sooners against the #20 Brigham Young Cougars in their season opener on Saturday at 7pm ET.
The game will be the first college football game in the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX.
Oklahoma went 12-2 last season, falling 24-14 to Florida in the BCS title game. Bradford threw for 256 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while falling to 0-2 in bowl games.
Bradford beat out Florida’s Tim Tebow and Texas quarterback Colt McCoy to become just the second sophomore to ever win the Heisman Trophy.
This season, Bradford returns several starters from one of the most prolific offenses in recent college football history, including running backs Chris Brown and DeMarco Murray and tight end Jermaine Gresham. Brown and Murray each had 1,000 rushing yards and combined for 34 touchdowns, while Gresham caught 66 passes for 950 yards and 14 TDs for OU.
BYU quarterback Max Hall also returns a strong offense, returning a 1,000-yard rusher (Harvey Unga) and two 1,000-yard receivers in Austin Collie and Dennis Pitta.
