No upsets as Arizona, Oregon, Nevada, Memphis, and Washington State win.
Marcus Williams scored 27 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while Chase Budinger added 16 points and 10 rebounds as the #10 Arizona Wildcats (13-2) beat the Oregon State Beavers (8-9) 83-72. The Wildcats built a 15 point lead at the half and cruised through the second to earn the win. Marcel Jones led the Beavers with 26 points and 8 rebounds
The #15 Oregon Ducks (15-1) survived a close one against the Arizona State Sun Devils (6-10) and came out on top 60-55. Malik Hairston had 13 points and 8 rebounds for the Ducks while Aaron Brooks and Bryce Taylor each scored 16 points. Jeff Pendergraph had 18 points and 9 rebounds for the Sun Devils.
Marcelus Kemp poured in 33 points and pulled down 8 rebounds to pace the #19 Nevada Wolf Pack (15-1) past the San Jose State Spartans (1-14) 72-63. In a game that was surprisingly close the Wolf Pack were only up two at the break. Menelik Barbary led the Spartans with 23 points and 9 rebounds in the loss.
The #20 Memphis Tigers (12-3) shot 60 percent from the field to knock off the Houston Cougars (5-8) 79-69. Chris Douglas-Roberts led the Tigers in scoring with 16 points while Joey Dorsey had 10 rebounds. The Tigers actually shot better from the field than they did from the foul line, from the charity stripe they managed just 52 percent shooting.
All five starters scored in double figures for the #22 Washington State Cougars (15-2) in their 73-56 route of the California Golden Bears (10-6). Daven Harmeling, Ivory Clark, and Kyle Weaver each scored 14 points in the Cougars win. Weaver added 10 assists and 6 rebounds to his line. Washington State shot 58 percent from the field while limiting the Bears to just 33 percent.
