A year after the launch of its first e-reader, Fnac is presenting a new device, the Fnac Book Touch, with Dixio. Fnac has chosen Dixio technology again, as it did with its first e-reader. The main difference, however, is that with the new device Dixio will define or translate with a long press.

When they use Dixio, new Touch users will be able to look up all the words that they do not understand thanks to the innovative dictionary technology developed by Semantix, the only one of its kind in the world. Dixio instantly provides the best definition without distracting from the reading process, with a long press on the word in question. The Fnac Book Touch contains the ‘Wordnet’ English dictionaries, the ‘Clave’ (SM) Spanish dictionary and the Semantix Spanish-English and English-Spanish bilingual dictionaries.

The Book Touch is more lightweight and ergonomic than its predecessor, as it weighs only 222 grams. With a 6-inch Pearl touch screen and 4GB of internal memory, which can be increased, it also has new infrared technology for extra clarity. The Touch has room for up to 3,000 books and it is compatible with .pdf and .epub text formats, .jpeg and .png image formats and files with DRM .pdf and .epub.
