AFC Playoffs Preview; Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens

The AFC playoff match-up will pit the AFC’s top rated offense of the Indianapolis Colts against the AFC’s top rated defense in the Baltimore Ravens. It is also a match-up of the AFC’s worst rushing defense in the Indianapolis Colts and one of the worst rushing offenses in the Baltimore Ravens.

It’s the unstoppable force against the immoveable object.

Indianapolis is coming off a regular season in which they averaged 379.4 yards per game while putting up 26.7 points per contest. The Baltimore Ravens defense allowed 264.1 yards per game while limiting opponents to just 12.6 points per game.

Better to just look at the trends to determine who’s going to win this contest. The Colts have dropped their last four road games while the Ravens have won four straight and haven’t lost a home game since Oct. 15 against the Carolina Panthers.

Baltimore has had a week to rest and should be ready for the arm of Peyton Manning and the legs of Joseph Addai while the Colts are coming off an impressive win against the Kansas City Chiefs in which their defense allowed just 126 yards of offense, 32 of those yards wee from Larry Johnson.

The Colts will be leaving the controlled environment of the RCA Dome and heading into Baltimore where temperatures are expected to be in the mid-40’s with a 70 percent chance of rain for the 4:30 p.m. EST game.
