Controversial “Octomom” Nadya Suleman has checked into rehab for addiction treatment. A rep for newly-minted porn star tells TMZ Suleman voluntarily entered a 30-day treatment program at Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center for her addiction to Xanax.
"Nadya wanted to get off the Xanax she was prescribed by her doctor and learn to deal with her stress, exhaustion and anxiety with professional help with a team of doctors. Nadya wanted to deal with her issues and make sure she is the best mother she can be,” her rep said.
Suleman, who was dubbed Octomom in 2009 after giving birth to octuplets, left her 14 children in the care of three nannies and a few friends. No other details were immediately available.
After months of struggling to pay for the care of the 14 children, Suleman turned to porn to make money. The 36-year-old released her first solo porn video, “Octomom: Home Alone,” in July.
“Growing up, it was internalized that [touching yourself] is dirty and wrong. But it’s not,” she said of the video in an appearance on The View. “When you face your ultimate fear it forces us to learn, grow and transcend into our highest potential as a human being.”
