Edward Furlong is currently being held in a Los Angeles jail for suspicion of felony domestic violence. Police took the Terminator 2 star into custody Tuesday at Los Angeles International Airport after receiving a call about an incident in the arrivals area of terminal 2. Furlong was accused of roughly grabbing his girlfriend, who has not been identified.
Furlong was booked after a nearby jail. He is being held on $50,000 bail. A rep for the American History X actor has not commented.
Furlong has a history of drug abuse and run-ins with the law. He has been arrested in the past for driving without a license, DUI, public intoxication and violating a restraining order obtained by his estranged wife Rachel Bella. Bella filed for divorce in 2009 after 3 years of marriage. She received a restraining order against Furlong the following year due to his violent behavior. At the time, Bella told the court Furlong threatened to have someone beat her with chains and a baseball bat. She also claimed that he confessed to hitting their then 4-year-old son’s testicles.
