Starbucks Coffee Co. (NASDAQ: SBUX) on Thursday announced several changes to its leadership team, according to Associated Press.

The coffee company said it has appointed Annie Young-Scrivner as its global chief marketing officer. Young-Scrivner, 40, comes to Starbucks from Quaker Foods and Snacks, a division of PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP), where she worked as chief marketing officer and vice president of sales.
The company also appointed Michelle Gass, a 41-year-old who has worked for Starbucks for 13 years, to the newly created role of president of Seattle's Best Coffee.
John Culver, 49, will take over as president of Global Consumer Products and Foodservice. Culver, 48, has been a Starbucks partner (employee) since 2002, and previously served as president of Starbucks Coffee Asia Pacific. He has held leadership roles in the company’s Foodservice and Starbucks Coffee International business units. As the vice president and general manager of Foodservice, he was responsible for leading its sales, marketing and operations.
Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz said this is "the time to keep the positive momentum seen in our U.S. business and build on our global opportunities" and said the appointments will strengthen the company's leadership.
Shares of Starbucks fell 13 cents to $18.69 in afternoon trading Thursday.
