Classical Guitar Lessons at Sage Music

Sage Music, in New York City, is guided by a philosophy that looks at and addresses each musician as a whole entity. The school’s underlying philosophy recognizes that a musician is not the result of technical skills alone, but a culmination of the many facets of music, ranging from theoretical knowledge to listening/aural skills to an understanding and appreciation of the vast history of music that spans the world. Joining this knowledge, and more, with a clear understanding of the processes involved in learning and memorization helps dedicated musicians at Sage offer their students a complete music experience in which they can develop and grow.

Those interested in classical guitar lessons in nyc and more will find Sage Music serves Long Island City, Queens, with easy access from other areas in the city via public transport. They are proud to be partnered with a variety of artists and eagerly welcome any new students.

Jason Sagebiel, founder of Sage Music, discovered his passion for music in early adolescence when he used it to fill his time during a long recuperation from an illness. This passion followed him through to a stint serving his country in Iraq. An injury, followed by rehabilitation to gain lost skills, gave him insight into learning and development methods. He has combined his passion and newfound knowledge into a singular approach in the music school, and his approach is supported by the successes of its students.

There are multiple learning opportunities offered by Sage Music. Private lessons are provided for those interested in voice piano, cello, violin, guitar, and more. Guitar lessons include electric, acoustic and classical. Classical guitar lessons are provided by either Sage, the founder, or Taro, both of whom have earned a name in their field and are highly devoted to sharing the magic of music through a strong basis of teaching skills and an understanding of the learning process.

Workout Wednesdays are a unique opportunity for musicians to get together and address a variety of skills while working with others. The added motivation to perform well in front of others adds an incentive factor that might not otherwise be there. Perhaps the highlight of Workout Wednesdays lies in the laid back time for socialization that follows each learning experience.
