Avatar star Sam Worthington was arrested for fighting over the weekend, but the actor escaped facing changes Monday because his accuser failed to appear in court. Worthington, 36, has not commented.
The actor was taken into custody Saturday at Vortex bar and grill in Atlanta after getting into an altercation with the doorman. TMZ reports Worthington was angry because he was refused entry due to intoxication. He allegedly pushed the doorman twice before being subdued with pepper spray and handcuffs. No other details were immediately available.
Worthington is in Atlanta filming Ten with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Terrance Howard. In addition to Avatar, Worthington is perhaps best known for his roles in Terminator Salvation, Clash of the Titans and Wrath of the Titans.
