Dancing With The Stars Pro Cheryl Burke: I Will Say Yes To The Bachelorette

Cheryl Burke is ready to expand her reality TV resume. The Dancing with the Stars pro confirms she will become the next Bachelorette star if she receives a “firm offer” from show bosses.

"I did meet with the execs but we'll see what happens. There hasn't been a firm offer, but if they offer it to me I would love to do it," Burke told Us Weekly magazine at Monday’s taping of DWTS.

"Over the summer I dated a couple of guys and it turned out all bad, so I just figured if someone were to make the choice for me then maybe I'd have a better chance of meeting someone good!" she said of her willingness to try to find “The One” on TV.

“It sounds crazy, but I'm so married to my work that I rarely meet new people! I'm around the same people all the time, I've been on this show for nearly a decade," Burke added.

A Bachelorette insider recently told RadarOnline.com that Burke, 28, is definitely a front runner. “She has a huge fan base, she’s great on television and they definitely think people would want to watch her find true love on TV,” the source said of producers.

Burke is currently competing with Emmitt Smith on the first-ever DWTS All Stars season. "[The Bachelorette] would be a great experience for her to understand more about herself," Smith recently told Ryan Seacrest in a radio interview. "Being on that show would probably give her a variety of personalities and let her find someone that truly fits her."

Another top contender for The Bachelorette is reportedly the newly single Emily Maynard. Producers are said to have already approached her about returning for a third shot at finding love on the show. The single mom was first engaged to Bachelor star Brad Womack. After their split she starred on The Bachelorette and accepted a proposal from Jef Holm. Maynard and Holm announced their split last month.
