Jon Bon Jovi Daughter Faces Drug Possession Charges

The oldest daughter of rocker Jon Bon Jovi was arrested for drug possession in New York early this morning. Police confirmed Stephanie Rose Bongiovi was taken into custody when officers and paramedics responded to a 911 call about the 19-year-old suffering a possible heroin overdose in her dorm room at Hamilton College in Kirkland.

A search of the teen’s room uncovered heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors. Another student identified as 21-year-old Ian Grant was also arrested and charged with drug possession. Bongiovi was released from police custody and will return to court to face charges.

Hamilton College released a statement saying Bongiovi and Grant’s actions also violate campus policy. "The college is cooperating with the police investigation. Our first concern is always for the safety of our students. Out of respect for the privacy of our students and in accordance with federal regulations we do not discuss individual health or disciplinary matters,” the school said.

Bon Jovi has not commented. Stephanie is his oldest child with wife Dorothea Hurley. The couple of 23 years is also parents to sons Jesse, 17, Jacob, 10, and Romeo, 8.
