Searching for some sort of normalcy for their family, Hollywood power duo Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have moved into a $3.5 million abode in New Orleans’ French Quarter.
When asked about the move to the Big Easy Jolie was quoted as saying “We love it there.” Jolie, the Oscar winning actress for “Girl, Interrupted,” hopes to maintain a low profile while raising her children in their new hometown. The couple has said they will send their three children to local schools.
Living in New Orleans will also offer Pitt, 43, and Jolie, 31, the opportunity to continue their humanitarian efforts surrounding flood relief for Hurricane Katrina victims.
Pitt is currently working on “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” with Cate Blanchette. The movie, due out in 2008, is filming in New Orleans. Pitt was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in 1996 for “Twelve Monkeys.” He took home the Golden Globe Award that year for the same category. “Ocean’s Thirteen” with George Clooney, Matt Damon, Al Pacino, Bernie Mac, Elliot Gould, and Don Cheadle is due out later this year.
Angelina Jolie has recently finished filming “A Mighty Heart,” in which she plays the role of Mariane Pearl, the wife of murdered American journalist Daniel Pearl. Pearl was kidnapped while in Pakistan and executed by a group of calling itself The National Movement for the Restoration of Pakistani Sovereignty.
