After the fall out at tribal council, the castaways return to camp realizing the lines have been drawn and it is Kalabaw vs. Tandang. Lisa questions her position in life and the game, and Penner is there to comfort her. The two form a bond that may help Penner survive another week of being the no. 1 target. Meanwhile, Abi, Pete and Artis realize their position in the game will only remain solid if they have Lisa and Scupin on board.
For the reward challenge the tribe is split in to two teams - Denise, Penner, Carter and Malcolm on one team, and Lisa, Artis, Mike and Pete on the other. Abi doesn’t get picked so she must sit out of the challenge and lose her chance at the reward. The challenge involves the castaways running through an obstacle course to collect bags of balls buried in a mud pit. Once all the bags have been collected they must throw all 12 balls into a small metal goal.
Penner and Scupin are up first. Scupin quickly goes through the course, but Penner stops to dig all the bags of balls out of the mud for the people behind him. His strategy gains the team a huge lead. They are able to hold the lead throughout the rest of the challenge. Penner, Carter, Malcolm and Denise win lunch at a local village.
Back at camp, Abi slams Lisa for her attempted game play at the last tribal council. She calls her “naive and gullible.” After attacking Lisa, Abi pushes for both Lisa and Scupin’s loyalty for the next vote. They want Penner gone.
For the immunity challenge, each castaway must balance a paddle on a stand while trying to roll six balls into six small grooves on the top of the paddle. The first person to get all of their balls resting in the grooves on their paddle wins the immunity necklace. Scupin wins immunity.
Back at camp, Abi and Pete fear they have lost Lisa and Scupin’s loyalty. Malcolm and Penner want to get Lisa and Scupin on board with voting out one of the Tandang alliance. Penner works on Lisa and then joins Malcolm to talk to Scupin. Scupin approaches Lisa about what they should do. Lisa admits she wants to stay loyal to her original tribe, but she realizes it may be best to jump ship while they have the chance.
At tribal council, Artis is blindsided. Lisa ended up remaining loyal to Tandang and Scupin flipped to Kalabaw. Artis is the third member of the jury.
