Kevin Federline, better known as the soon-to-be ex husband of Britney Spears, will be appearing in a 30-second spot for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. during this year’s Super Bowl. Federline will be taking part in the company’s ‘Life Comes at You Fast” campaign.
The campaign has featured faded stars such as Fabio and MC Hammer and pokes fun at the sudden turn of events in life that can take a celebrity from A-List status to no-list status overnight. Nationwide vice president of advertising and brand management Steven Schreibman said “No one has personified 'Life Comes at You Fast' in the media better than Federline.”
Federline, 28, will star in a commercial that begins with him surrounded by money and women and ending with him working in a fast-food restaurant. The 30-sceond spot will air during the third quarter of the Feb. 4 game.
As for the Go-Daddy Girl, it has been reported that network officials have already turned down two proposed ads from the internet-domain register. That could be the least of their problems. Citing creative differences Shine Advertising has stepped away from the account and leaves just a few weeks for a commercial to be crafted and accepted.
In years past the Go Daddy ads have gained major publicity due to their risqué content. Last year it took 14 proposed ads before the networks gave the green light.
