Eating Disorder Treatment Center Launches
New Website and Offers Free Assessments
Jacksonville, Florida August 20, 2009 - The Women's Treatment Center for Healthy Living, a Jacksonville-based eating disorder treatment center, announces the launch of its new website, EatingDisorderClinic.org and affiliated helpline providing free eating disorder assessments.
EatingDisorderClinic.org offers valuable information on anorexia, bulimia, compulsive overeating, food addiction and associated issues. Visitors to the website are encouraged to contact its confidential 24/7 helpline to receive an eating disorder assessment over the phone. The helpline is manned by specially trained counselors who assess each caller's clinical medical and psychological situation. If the caller identifies with symptoms and behaviors indicative of an eating disorder, the counselors can refer them to appropriate treatment resources nationwide. The call, assessment and referral services are all free of charge.
Jonathan Huttner VP Of Marketing of the Women's Center for Healthy Living says, "Millions of women and men are suffering from eating disorders and many of them are scared and confused about what to do. EatingDisorderClinic.org and the helpline may be the first step many of them take to getting the treatment they or their loved one needs."
Huttner adds, "While our counselors cannot make a formal medical diagnosis over the phone, they refer callers to licensed and certified treatment centers where they can get a thorough in-person evaluation. Our counselors also inquire about health insurance, to make sure they refer callers to treatment centers that will work with a particular coverage."
