NFL News: Cleveland Browns Reportedly Name Brady Quinn as Starting Quarterback

The Cleveland Browns will reportedly go with Brady Quinn as their starting quarterback when they face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, answering a lingering question that head coach Eric Mangini had refused to address with the media.

Quinn had been battling with Derek Anderson for the job and Mangini reportedly met with the two quarterbacks on Wednesday afternoon to reveal his decision. While there was no definitive answer given to the media Anderson did tell reporters “the rest of us have to go about our regular preparations” indicating that Quinn had been given the nod.

Mangini has refused to formally announce his team’s starting quarterback, noting that he believed it gave Cleveland a competitive edge over Minnesota.
