NBA Scores from Jan. 17; Vince Carter, Joe Johnson, Kobe Bryant, and Amare Stoudemire lead their teams to wins.

Caron Butler had 27 points and 10 assists to lead the Washington Wizards (22-16) past the New York Knicks (17-23) 99-98. Antawn Jamison added 21 points and 6 rebounds while Gilbert Arenas finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds in the Wizards win. Quentin Richardson led the Knicks with 35 points and 10 rebounds.

The Toronto Raptors (19-21) outscored the Sacramento Kings (14-22) 33-16 in the fourth quarter to grab a 101-85 victory. Morris Peterson had 22 points and 5 rebounds and Chris Bosh added 20 points and 9 rebounds for the Raptors. Mike Bibby led Sacramento with 21 points.

The New Jersey Nets (18-20) built a 19-point lead by halftime and then held on to beat the Charlotte Bobcats (12-25) 92-85. Vince Carter finished with 26 points while Jason Kidd had 17 points and 7 rebounds for the Nets. Emeka Okafor led Charlotte with 14 points and 21 rebounds.

Deron Williams scored 31 points and handed out 10 assists and Carlos Boozer finished with 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the Utah Jazz (25-14) past the Detroit Pistons (21-16) 100-99. Chauncey Billups led the Pistons with 26 points and 7 assists while Chris Webber played 17 minutes in his debut for the Pistons and finished with 5 rebounds.

Andres Nocioni had 21 points, Ben Gordon had 20 points and 6 assists while Luol Deng added 19 points and 9 rebounds as the Chicago Bulls (23-17) beat the Milwaukee Bucks (17-21) 99-90. The Bulls were down by six going into the fourth quarter but used a 32-17 final frame to earn the win. Rueben Patterson finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Bucks.

Joe Johnson finished with 29 points on 12-19 shooting to lead the Atlanta Hawks (13-23) past the Minnesota Timberwolves (20-17) 105-88. Josh Smith added 21 points fro the Hawks and Marvin Williams grabbed 10 rebounds in the win. Kevin Garnett had 13 rebounds and 13 points for the Wolves.

The Memphis Grizzlies (10-30) built a 21-point halftime lead and cruised past the Philadelphia 76ers (10-29) 118-102. The Grizzlies had seven players score in double figures with Mike Miller leading the way with 30. Pau Gasol had 12 points and 12 rebounds and Damon Stoudamire had 10 assists. Kyle Korver had 30 points for the 76ers.

Amare Stoudemire scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while Shawn Marion finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds as the Phoenix Suns (30-8) beat the Houston Rockets (25-15) 100-91 for their 11th straight win. Steve Nash added 21 points and 14 assists for the Suns. The Rockets were led by Rafer Alston and his 29 points and 8 assists.

Kobe Bryant scored 34 points and dished out 8 assists as the Los Angeles Lakers (26-13) went on the road and beat the San Antonio Spurs (27-13) 100-96. Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 26 points and 9 rebounds and Tony Parker had 25 points and 5 assists in the San Antonio loss.

Zach Randolph scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Brandon Roy had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Portland Trail Blazers (16-24) past the Cleveland Cavaliers (23-15) 94-76. The Cavaliers shot just 35 percent from the field and could only manage 9 points in the first quarter. LeBron James finished the night with 23 points.

The Golden State Warriors (19-21) were playing with just seven but managed to knock off the  Los Angeles Clippers (18-21) 115-109. Monta Ellis and Kelenna Azubuike each finished with 28 points and Matt Barnes grabbed 13 rebounds for the Warriors. Elton Brand led the Clippers with 27 points and 11 rebounds.
