True Blood’s Marshall Allmen Expecting Twins With Wife Jamie Anne Allman

Twins are on the way for Marshall Allman and his wife of 6 years, The Killing actress Jamie Anne Allman. The couple revealed the news to People magazine this week.

“We were ecstatic to find out we were pregnant and overjoyed to learn they were fraternal twins,” the Allmans tells People. “Twins run in both of our families so we were prepared for the possibility, but we know we’re gonna need all the prayers and help we can get.”

The couple let their family in on the surprise with a video. “Both of us being actors, we made a film,” they add. “It made it super fun and easy to share the news in a surprising way across the country.”

Marshall, 28, is perhaps best known for his role as L.J. Burrows on Prison Break. He most recently starred as Tommy Mickens on HBO’s True Blood. Before landing a role on The Killing, Jamie Anne played Connie on The Shield.

In other celebrity baby news, The Hunger Games actress Elizabeth Banks recently revealed she has welcomed her second child with husband Max Handelman. The couple’s son Magnus Mitchell was born via gestational carrier just like their first child, 20-month-old Felix.

“As 2012 winds down and Thanksgiving approaches, I have much for which to be thankful – personal, professional, and Presidential. However, nothing can match the joy and excitement my husband and I felt when we recently welcomed our second baby boy,” Banks, 38, wrote last week on her website.

“Magnus joins older brother Felix, thus commencing a decade or more of close hand to hand combat,” she added. “Like Felix, Magnus was born via gestational surrogate. This experience has exceeded all expectations, taught us a great deal about generosity and gratitude, and established a relationship that will last a lifetime.”
