Will Smith Meets with Japanese Prime Minister while Promoting “The Pursuit of Happyness”

While in Japan promoting his latest movie “The Pursuit of Happyness” Will Smith met with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The uplifting true story based on the life of Chris Gardner struck a chord with Abe. He commented, “I think we should treasure the idea of not giving up dreams.”

Will Smith was nominated for an Oscar Award for his performance in “Ali” and has been a part of some of the biggest blockbusters in Hollywood history, among those films “Independence Day,” “Men in Black,” and “Hitch.”

“The Pursuit of Happyness” is set to open in Japan on Jan. 27.
