Despite a limited role in this week’s practices Georgia Bulldogs senior quarterback Joe Cox is expected to get the start against the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday.
Cox was said he be suffering from an arm injury but offensive coordinator Mike Bobo told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution “Joe is the starter.” Cox struggled to move the ball in eth Bulldogs season opening loss to the Oklahoma State Cowboys last Saturday as he finished 15/30 for 162 yards and a touchdown.
There had been talk that sophomore QB Logan Gray would step into the starting role against the Gamecocks but that has been dismissed by coaches.
