College Football AP Top 25 Schedule: #1 Florida Gators Expected to Roll Past Troy Trojans on Saturday

After dismantling Charleston Southern last Saturday the Florida Gators easily held on to their top spot in the AP Top 25 and it looks like the defending national champions should hold firm this week as they take on the Troy Trojans in what could be another ugly outcome.

The Gators looked nearly flawless in their 62-3 rout last Saturday as Tim Tebow, Jeff Demps, Chris Rainey and Riley Cooper provided the offensive firepower while the defense, led by Brandon spikes, shut down the Buccaneers whenever they felt like stepping up.

Saturday could mirror that outcome as Troy looked less than impressive in their 31-14 loss to Bowling Green. The Trojans had a total of 41 yards rushing while quarterback Levi Brown was picked off twice after being forced to attempt 44 passes.

This will be the Gators final tune-up of sorts before they open their SEC schedule with the Tennessee Volunteers on Sept. 19, a game that has been building since Lane Kiffin took the head coaching job for the Volunteers earlier this year.

Kickoff is set for 12:21 p.m. ET from the Swamp.
