Anna Nicole Smith is facing a lawsuit filed by a law firm based in the Bahamas. Smith hired the firm, Callenders, last September after her 20-year-old son Daniel died while on the island.
The former Playboy Playmate had taken up residence in the Bahamas and had just given birth when Daniel died. Smith hired the law firm to handle the affairs that surrounded the death of her son.
Smith is said to owe the firm more than $113,000 in legal fees.
Tracy Ferguson, an attorney at the firm, stated in an affidavit that she was certain that Smith had the money “but that she has a total aversion to paying her bills and that she will seek to avoid paying the fees by any means that occur to her, including by sending her money within this jurisdiction abroad.”
