Lindsay Lohan Looking For Sitcom Role

Despite the scathing reviews of her performance in the Lifetime movie Liz & Dick, Lindsay Lohan is reportedly convinced that TV is the key to reviving her flagging acting career. RadarOnline.com reports Lohan is pushing her team to land her a starring role on a sitcom.

"Lindsay has asked her manager and agent to look into getting her her own television sitcom. Lindsay feels that the small screen would be a great way for her to revitalize her acting career and that a comedy would be the best bet,” an insider tells Radar.

Apparently, the sitcom idea came from former Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen. “Lindsay feels most comfortable doing comedy and it was Charlie Sheen that told her she should do it. Charlie told Lindsay that it was an easy way to make very good money and help her to get her movie career back on track,” the source adds. “Lindsay is loving the idea of having her own sitcom and would love to play someone in a story based on her crazy life."

Lohan “isn’t fazed” by the criticism heaped on Liz & Dick last night. She allegedly believes jealously is the driving force behind the critics who slammed her. “She thinks everyone is insanely jealous of her, and like it or not, she was trending on Twitter last night,” adds the insider.

A Liz & Dick review on People.com complained that Lohan was “completely miscast” as the legendary Elizabeth Taylor, while Entertainment Weekly slammed Lohan’s “frozen face.” The 26-year-old actress has not commented.
