Both Gabriel Aubry and Olivier Martinez stepped out sporting bruises Saturday following a Thanksgiving Day altercation at the Los Angeles home of Halley Berry, Aubry’s ex-girlfriend and Martinez’s fiancé. Aubry resurfaced with a blackened left eye that was nearly swollen shut while Martinez was spotted with a swollen and bruised right hand. Neither Aubry nor Martinez has commented.
The brawl reportedly occurred when Aubry dropped off his daughter with Berry, 4-year-old Nahla. TMZ reports the model threw the first punch after Martinez approached him in the driveway and said, “We have to move on.” Martinez deflected the punch, but Aubry shoved him to the ground. Martinez then punched Aubry in the face and subdued him after a brief struggle. He made a citizen’s arrest before police arrived at the scene and took Aubry into custody. Aubry was booked for misdemeanor battery. A judge granted Berry, Martinez and Nahla a temporary restraining that requires Aubry to stay at least 100 yards away from them.
Both Aubry and Martinez visited a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries. TMZ reports Aubry suffered a broken rib in addition to the severe bruise on his face. Martinez suffered cuts on his hand a neck injuries.
Berry has not commented. Berry and Aubry split in 2010 and have been in a custody battle over Nahla ever since. Martinez and Berry have been engaged since late 2011.
