Actress Deborah Raffin died last week after a yearlong battle with leukemia. Raffin’s brother confirmed her death to the Los Angeles Times. He said Raffin passed away Wednesday, November 21 at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. She was 59.
Raffin’s acting career spanned 3 decades and included numerous TV movies, films and TV shows. She made her big screen debut in 1973 in 40 Carats. Her other film credits include The Dove, One Is Not Enough, Claudia and Death Wish 3. Raffin’s TV movies include For Lover’s Only, Threesome, Killing at Hell’s Gate and Haywire. She is perhaps best known for her recurring role as Julie Camden on the popular TV series 7th Heaven. Raffin most recently guest starred on Law and Order: SVU and The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
Raffin married music producer Michael Viner in 1974. They started an audiobook business together and welcomed a daughter named Taylor Rose. The couple divorced in 2005. Viner died four years later.
