AP Top 25 College Football Schedule: #4 Alabama Crimson Tide Play Florida International on Saturday

#4 Alabama Crimson Tide will host Florida International on Saturday at 7pm ET in their home opener.

The Tide opened their season at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, defeating then-#7 Virginia Tech Hokies, 34-24, in their second straight season opener win against an ACC opponent.

Their win against Clemson last season sparked an amazing season for Nick Saban and his team, who went undefeated and retained the #1 ranking for weeks late in the season until losing to the Florida Gators in the SEC Championship.

Alabama, which is known for their stifling defense, racked up almost 500 yards in offense against Virginia Tech’s notorious D. Greg McElroy threw for 230 in his debut as Alabama's starting quarterback, while tailback Mark Ingram rushed for a career-high 150 yards.

Alabama’s defense, led by tackle Terrance Cody and linebacker Rolando McClain, will look to stop FIU’s star wide receiver Ty Hilton. The All-Sun Belt first team receiver and the conference's freshman of the year in 2008 finished with 12 touchdowns -- seven receiving, two rushing, one punt return, one kick return and one passing. He had a team-high 41 catches and his 1,013 receiving yards were a single-season school record.
